We provide a supportive space where children can explore their feelings. Our activities are designed to help kids understand and express their emotions and solve problems. This helps develop confidence and resilience.
Chatterbox also values the importance of family connections. Parents and caregivers are involved, share experiences, and connect with other families. Through guided sessions you’ll have the chance to learn new strategies and support your child’s development both in and out of the program.

Our Services
MULTI-SENSORY STRUCTURED LANGUAGE
When: Bookings open
Time: Individual sessions
Where: Speech & Teach Clinic, Deniliquin (face to face)
Program Length: as required
We are accredited by the Australian Dyslexia Association in the evidenced-based literacy instruction of Multisensory Structured Language.
What is Multisensory teaching?
Multisensory teaching is one important aspect of instruction for dyslexic students that is used by clinically trained teachers. Effective instruction for students with dyslexia is what ALL students require: instruction that is direct & explicit, structured & systematic, cumulative, cognitive, intensive, emotionally sound and focused on meaningful speech to print.
The multisensory component involves using visual, auditory, and kinesthetic-tactile pathways simultaneously to enhance memory and learning of written language. A skilled MSL educator provides direct instruction to ensure links are consistently made between the visual (language we see), auditory (language we hear/perceive), and kinesthetic-tactile (language symbols we feel) pathways in learning to read and spell.
Lidcombe program (Stuttering)
When: Bookings open
Time: Individual sessions
Where: Speech & Teach Clinic, Deniliquin (face to face) and online option
Ages: 3-6yrs
Program Length: as required
Stuttering typically begins in children before 6 years of age. Unlike many other speech disorders, it begins after a period of normal speech and language development. This can make stuttering onset particularly distressing for parents, especially so for the one third of cases where stuttering begins in a single day.
The reasons why some children begin to stutter are not fully clear at present. It is known that genetics is involved and that it is a physical problem, not a psychological one. Nothing about parenting style or the family environment is known to cause stuttering.
The best advice that can be given to any parent whose child has begun to stutter is to consult a speech pathologist. Deniliquin Speech Pathology has accredited Lidcombe Program trainers.
